Congratulations are in order for Ms. Creighton Harrington, and Ms. Ashley Dearmont who have been awarded RHOP scholarships from Chadron State College. Creighton will be studying in the field of medicine, and Ashley will be studying in physical therapy. Congratulations again girls, and thank you for being outstanding representatives of your school and community.

The third graders enjoyed lunch and a movie in the classroom as a reward for improving MAPs scores from fall to winter. Way to work, third graders!

Mini-Cheer camp will be Saturday, Feb. 8th from 9-11am in the LCHS North Gym. Students will perform at halftime of the girls varsity game on Feb. 11th. Forms have been sent home with students and need returned by Jan. 31st to guarantee a t-shirt. Thank you! Go Rebels!

Rebel fans, for next Friday's HSBB games in Burwell only the main gym will be in use. JV girls will begin at 3:30pm (4 qtrs), followed by JV boys (3 qtrs), varsity girls, and varsity boys. Thank you.

Due weather and road conditions Loup City Public Schools will be closed today. The addition of freezing rain and the forecast calling for continued wintry mix and high winds is causing slick roads. Stay home and safe.

Loup City Geography Bee Finals were today. Congratulations to Tim Fulton Champion (2nd Year), Sam Krolikowski Runner-Up and Hailey Rademacher 3rd Place. The other participants were Kailey Goc, Chloe Carkoski, Andrew Peterson, Jaymeson Gappa, Lily Baker, Olivia Fitzgerald and Libby Ference (unable to attend).

Last year the school district upgraded teachers' computer bags. We received feedback that some students would like to have the option to purchase them. We are offering these bags at our cost of $55. Orders will be taken until January 31st!

Basketball parents, tonight's basketball practices have been adjusted to accommodate our local Geography Bee. Practices tonight are as follows: JH Boys: South Gym in LC HS Girls: Arcadia HS Boys: North Gym in LC Thank you.
