Good Afternoon! As we have had our first cases of Covid-19 in our school we want to take the opportunity to share our current risk dial for the Loup Basin area. The Loup City Public Schools is operating in the Yellow Operational Zone due to our district having a mandatory mask policy we are not having to quarantine students. We currently have two LCES teachers who have positive results, we do no have any students. Due to masks being used at school, there were no students identified to quarantine. Family members and close contact individuals have been directed to quarantine per the Loup Basin guidelines. All students that are currently quarantining from both buildings are due to exposure outside of the school setting. We will monitor the situation with the Loup Basin Health Department. We appreciate our partners in education and their support.

The volleyball triangular scheduled for tonight has been changed to a dual between Twin Loup and Arcadia-Loup City. The JV game will start at 5:30 with Varsity to follow. It will be broadcast on KBBN radio and Twin Loup STRIV channel. With one less team than originally scheduled we are not going to be setting a limit on the number of fans per player, but feel it is important to remind everyone that Sargent School status is still in the “orange” zone of the risk dial. The protocol for activities is that: home fans should come in through the north entrance and visitors will enter through the east entrance near the flagpole. Also, we remind fans to social distance your group from others in the stands and wearing an appropriate face-covering / mask is required if you are attending tonight’s volleyball game.
