Principal’s Message to Parents & Guardians
November 7th, 2025
As we continue “Finding the Groove” this school year, our goal is to help every student discover their rhythm—academically, socially, and emotionally. In harmony with our district’s commitment to “Empowering Continual Success,” we believe that true growth happens when students learn not only core academics but also the essential life skills that prepare them to thrive in every setting.
At school, our teachers and staff weave life skill instruction into everyday learning. Students practice responsibility by managing their materials and completing assignments on time, collaboration through group projects and peer learning, and resilience by reflecting on mistakes as opportunities for improvement. These moments help students “find their groove” as independent thinkers and compassionate community members.
At home, you can help your child continue to build these same habits of mind and heart. A few ways to reinforce life skills include:
Responsibility: Encourage your child to plan and complete simple daily tasks, such as packing their own backpack or setting the dinner table.
Problem Solving: When challenges arise, guide your child to think through possible solutions rather than providing an immediate answer.
Empathy: Talk about emotions—yours, theirs, and others’—and discuss ways to show kindness and understanding in different situations.
Perseverance: Celebrate effort, not just results. When your child struggles, remind them that finding their groove takes patience and practice.
When home and school work in rhythm, our students gain the confidence and skills they need to step into their own success stories—continuously learning, growing, and contributing to their community.
