District Information

 

Loup City Public Schools, located in rural central Nebraska in Sherman County, is a consolidated district serving the communities of Loup City, Ashton, and Rockville. Currently, two campuses are utilized in educating the 319 students enrolled. The Loup City District has two campuses, K-3 building and 4-12 buildings, located one block apart. LCPS has cooperative ventures for the library, birth to 3, preschool, after school programs and summer school programs. LCPS offers a scientifically researched based core curriculum using differentiated instruction teaching students to mastery. Loup City features a state approved RTI Plan as well at a K-12 SAT program. High school course offerings are being enhanced through the use of distance learning and co- (college) credit classes. To enhance digital learning, mobile laptop carts are utilized in grades K-8, while a 9-12 students have 24/7 access to student learning through the implementation of a 1-to-1 laptop program.

The Loup City Schools, with the support of parents and community, are committed to providing all students with positive and challenging educational experience that will empower them to succeed as members of a changing society. In the importance of developing excellent communication skills, problem solving skills, and an interest in learning in all students. That everyone should have respect for school, community and peers. District Goals – 1. Academic Excellence 2. Safe and Orderly Schools 3. Community Schools 4. High Quality Workforce School Improvement Goal – The district is working to develop school improvement goals following a successful AdvancED accreditation visit in the spring of 2013. Academic goals will be supported by the K-12 establishment of Positive Behavior Supports.
